NOF USS FIB Course

Welcome to the Ultrasound-Guided Fascia Iliaca Block Course

This course is for consultants, registrars, junior doctors or ACPs who require initial training in Ultrasound-Guided Fascia Iliaca Blocks. It's on a first come, first booked basis with a total of 20 spaces across the day.

Effective pain management is a cornerstone of quality patient care, and regional anaesthesia techniques like the fascia iliaca block (FIB) have become essential tools in managing acute pain, particularly in patients with hip fractures or lower limb injuries, presenting to the Emergency Department. This course is designed to equip healthcare professionals with the skills and confidence needed to perform ultrasound-guided fascia iliaca blocks safely and effectively.

Through a combination of hands-on practice, detailed anatomical insights, and live ultrasound demonstrations, you will learn how to optimise pain relief while minimising complications. Whether you’re new to regional anaesthesia or seeking to refine your technique, this course will provide you with the knowledge and skills to enhance patient outcomes.

Let’s get started on mastering this valuable skill and advancing your practice!

Following the course we will provide you with a certificate of attendance for your ePortfolio/CPD.
